The outlook from the property is peaceful and from the tranquil gardens guests can enjoy stunning views across the countryside and out to the sea beyond. The village of Kilve is a short wander downhill from the property (1 mile) and offers a pub/restaurant Post Office and village store and the beach is just half a mile on from the village. For the more energetic The 9 500 acres of Quantock Hills are literally on your doorstep and you will be spoilt for choice be it walking the famed Coleridge Way mountain biking or horse riding. If you prefer a more relaxed approach why not take advantage of in-cottage visits from local beauty therapists or take a night off and let the private caterers arrange your dining. Leisure facilities: secure bike racks are available as well as hot and cold water taps and an outside hose for wet paws and muddy bikes. For your four-legged family members the local pet shop offers a dog grooming service doggie day care and a dog food delivery service. Amenities: ample off-road parking. This well-appointed cottage has a timber log-roll external finish and the 5 star accommodation offers TWO bedrooms. The master bedroom has a beautiful romantic canopied king-size bed and the other has twin beds. Both bedrooms have zip-and-link beds (alternative bed set up is available on request) flatscreen TVs with DVD and luxurious en-suite shower rooms with WC and dressing robes. Lounge/kitchen/diner: spacious open-plan living area with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. Comfortable seating flatscreen TV DVD iPod dock woodburner (first basket of logs provided) and dining area. Bespoke kitchen granite work-surfaces American style fridge/freezer electric oven with hob wine fridge dishwasher microwave and insinkerator hot tap. Utility: washer/dryer space for wellies bikes and coats. Outside: enclosed garden patio area raised garden/paddock BBQ and garden furniture.

And the best way to experience the county’s many attractions is from your base in one of our holiday cottages in Somerset. Bath has some of Britain’s most majestic Georgian architecture, as well as the famous Roman Baths (not mention great shopping). Then there’s Wells, England’s smallest city. Wandering around the cathedral close, with its unspoilt medieval lanes is like taking a step back in time. And for a real sense of mystery, there’s Glastonbury (home of the world-famous music festival), supposedly the site of King Arthur’s mythical Avalon. All await you on one of our Somerset cottage holidays. The county has more than its fair share of beach resorts too. The Grand Pier at Weston-Super-Mare is superb, as is the wide beach here, while Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea offer a choice of traditional seaside pleasures. Meanwhile, for nature lovers there’s the wild landscape of Exmoor, and the Mendip and Quantock Hills, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cheddar Gorge is truly stunning. Great for real Cheddar cheese too!
